Builder's Club

The Builder's Club of Marine Park IS 278 is hosting a toy drive for Brooklyn's Military families. Please send in your donation of new, unwrapped toys by December 7th. The next meeting of the Builder's Club will be on December 10th.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences are Monday, November 19 5:30-8PM and Tuesday, November 20 12:30-2:30. All students will be dismissed at 11:20 AM on November 20th, please make arrangements for your child. Report cards will be given to parents/guardians at Parent/Teacher Confeerences, they will NOT be sent home with the children.

Fill a Bag -Thank a Vet

Help celebrate the real meaning of Veteran's Day. Ms. Kieran and the Builder's Club are sponsoring a project for the Veterans in the Brooklyn VA Hospital. Fill a one gallon Ziploc bag with at least 5 of the following: -Word search books -Travel size toiletry items -Pens/Pencils -Candy/Snacks -Lip Balm -Playing Cards -Travel Games -Paperback books -Salt free seasoning The bags will be delivered in your honor on November 8th.

Quarterly Exams

All Students will be taking Quarterly Exams for the first quarter of this school year during the week of October 22, 2012. Each exam is given in the regularly scheduled class and is in two parts over 2 days. Day one is short answers and multiple choice. Day two is essay and/or tasks. The schedule is as follows: Monday, 10/22- Math day 1 Tuesday, 10/23-Math day 2, Science day 1 Wednesday, 10/24-Science day 2, Social Studies day 1 Thursday, 10/25-Social Studiesday 2, Language Arts day 1 Friday, 10/26- Language Arts day 2

Trick or Treat for Unicef

UNICEF helps children all over the world have a better life. Please encourage your students to help the Builders Club support this worthy organization and surpass last year's school wide contribution of $324.00. Thank you !!!! Monies will be collected on October 31, 2012
